Join the Sierra Club Military Outdoors and Georgia Chapter at Rodney Cook Sr. Park for a fun and easy workout day. Many people set New Year's resolutions, but gym memberships can be expensive. Instead, we’re meeting at the local free outdoor gym and track at Rodney Cook Sr. Park, right in the shadow of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The park opened on June 29, 2021, in Atlanta’s westside Vine City neighborhood. Just a few blocks from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, this 16-acre park is a great spot to play, exercise, or relax. It has a large playground, a splash pad, workout equipment, a basketball court, and plenty of green space.
Join the outings leader and the Military Outdoors senior campaign strategist for a relaxed, free-form workout day. There’s a basketball court for anyone who wants to play, a playground for kids, and lots of free outdoor workout equipment provided by the city of Atlanta. Veterans, military families, and civilians are welcome to join this day.
