Series of three workshops from the Sierra Club Climate Truth Tellers, a team of activists like you working to change the conversation online. 

1) Truth to Power: Why Social Media Matters, Wed Sep 10

At a time when disinformation is drowning out the truth, social media is one of the most powerful tools we have to push back. Join a virtual training where you'll learn why fighting false information on social media matters, how everyday people are shifting the conversation online, and real-world examples of how Truth Tellers have made an impact. 

2) The Power of Us: How & Why to Engage Friends & Family in this Work, Wed Oct 8

As the attacks on our democracy and our future grow by the day, we know by building stonger communities and inviting people we love into this work, we'll build the power we need to resist. Join to learn how to talk about difficult issues with friends and family, understand why it's important to invite others in, and build a deeper understand of how to share our personal stories.

3) Scroll Smarter: How to Fact Check on Social Media, Wed Nov 12

With social media companies cowering to Trump and refusing to sensor lies, we have to learn how to better spot disinformation online. At this workshop you'll learn how to how to fact check information on social, understand how realistic AI-generated content is, and how to teach others these skills.
