Join us for a fun introductory backpacking experience at a relaxed pace. We'll follow a moderately hilly 2-mile hike with a pack (4-5 miles round trip). We'll camp at a backcountry campsite on Saturday night and return to the parking lot on Sunday mid-day. An optional day hike will be offered on Saturday afternoon. You will receive more information about equipment, food and directions after you are confirmed. You will need to bring your equipment but the leader has some extra equipment (e.g. tent, backpack, sleeping bag) that may be available. The campsites have a picnic table and pit toilets (no running water).
