Enjoy a 2-night hike with beautiful coastal views. Day 1: We’ll hike around 5.5 miles to a campsite near the beach. In the afternoon, we can walk to nearby Alamere Falls (optional) or relax at camp. Day 2: We'll walk about 7.2 miles total, stopping along the way to have lunch at remote Kelham Beach. Both campsites are near (but not on) the beach. On Sunday we'll hike about 3 miles to exit.
This will require a car shuttle: we'll meet at a central location, drive a couple of cars to the ending and carpool to the beginning trailhead.
You’re probably familiar with how variable the weather can be on the coast at any time of year, which can range from brilliant sunshine to dense fog, blustery wind and cold rain. Be prepared for cool, damp weather.
The trail is relatively easy and undulating along the coast with little significant elevation gain. The distance of 7.2 miles on the second day makes it a moderate hike.
