Get ready for an exciting adventure! Come along with us on a super cool 1 mile hike, where well uncover the secrets of some amazing plants that are like natures superheroes, surviving our scorching hot summers. But thats not all! Were also on a mission to search for some awesome critters that live right here in this wild neighborhood. Plus, well dive into the world of fire, talk about those sneaky invaders, and discover what makes an oak tree so oak-tastic! Lets explore together and have a blast!

Plus, we’ll dive into the world of fire, talk about those sneaky invaders, and discover what makes an oak tree so oak-tastic! Let’s explore together and have a blast!

Please wear closed toed shoes appropriate for uneven terrain, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), and at least 1 liter of water. Hiking poles might be useful as we will encounter one or two hilly ups and downs! If you like to take notes and photographs a notepad and pen, and camera will come in handy.

Rating: E2A (Easy, under 2 miles, less than 500 feet elevation gain)

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Ages: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Recommended for children 8 years and up.

BBQ Lunch at 11:30 am - 1 pm (optional)
