O: Thurs. Moderate Easy Pace Hikers/Santa Cruz Island
Moderately paced 5 mile, approx. 500' elevation gain from Scorpion Anchorage to Potato Harbor offering spectacular coastal views. Also, we will visit the historic ranch dating to the late 1800's. Meet 8:00am at the Island Packers terminal in Ventura Harbor. The boat departure is at 9:00am and the departure from the island is at 4:00pm. The cruise each way is approx. 1 1/4 hours. Each participant is responsible for purchasing their own tickets and the round trip price for seniors is $61 and adults is $66. For reservations: islandpackers.com There are no concessions on the island and everyone must bring their own water and food. Sunscreen, hiking boots, hat, sunglasses and since there are no trash cans on the island, please pack your own garbage! Also, it could be cool on the water, so dress in layers.
