Saturday, Oct. 26: More Fall Birds Along Animas River in Farmington. 8:00 a.m. to approx 11:00 a.m. This and the August trip aim to discover which of the 31 migrants, who headed north last spring, will follow the same route, heading south in the fall. Well also look for the 24 residents discovered last spring, hopefully find a few more. Eighteen years-old and up only. No dogs please. Use sunscreen, bring a binocular, water, snacks, and dress for the weather. Limit of ten people. This and the September 16th trip aim to discover which of the 31 migrants, who headed north last spring, will follow the same route, heading south in the fall. We’ll also look for the 24 residents discovered last spring, hopefully find a few more. Eighteen years-old and up only. No dogs please. Use sunscreen, bring a binocular, water, snacks, and dress for the weather. Limit of twelve people. Register no later than Oct. 24 at the link below.

Directions: from US-64 south of Farmington, turn north onto Browning Pkwy, NM-516, and go to third traffic light, turn left there, proceed right at the fork, then follow signs to Riverside Nature Center. Or from Farmington, at East Main and Browning Pkwy, head south to the first traffic light, turn right, then proceed as above.

Additional Directions: Coming from the north, take US Hwy 550 to Aztec. In Aztec, 550 turns left and heads south. At that intersection, stay straight on Hwy 516, which becomes Main Street as you enter Farmington. Look for Browning Parkway (still Hwy 516), where you turn left. Drive to the first traffic light, turn right, proceed to the roundabout, go right there, then take your first left, which takes you to a parking area, next to a gate. We will meet there. From US-64 south of Farmington, turn north onto Browning Pkwy, NM-516, and go to third traffic light, turn left there, proceed right at the fork, then take first left which leads to parking area, where we will meet Or from Farmington, at East Main and Browning Pkwy, head south to the first traffic light, turn right, then proceed as above.

Carpool: Carpooling is at participants own risk.
