Enjoy a walking tour of the many native plant habitat gardens in the Wagener Terrace Neighborhood alongside some of the folks who designed and installed these gardens within the last year or two. The Marsh Appreciation and Restoration Society for Happiness Project (The MARSH Project) has been working in the neighborhood of Halsey Creek in Wagener Terrace since 2021 to design, install, and propagate native plants for neighbors and friends to enjoy.

We will not only be joined on our tour by representatives of the MARSH Project, but also three landscape designers who have had a hand in crafting these excellent and beautiful habitat gardens: Sam Gilpin of Native Plant Landscapes, Sharleen Johnson of Native Plants to the People, and Al Mason of Plan'td Ecological Design.

Meet us where St. Margaret Street ends at the Ashley River in front of the entrance gates to Lowndes Grove, and we will begin our approximately 2 mile loop around the neighborhood to see examples of what native plants can do in a front yard to support pollinators, birds, and other creatures while looking stunning, too.

Additional Directions: There should be plenty of street parking available at the ends of Grove, St. Margaret, and Gordon Streets. We will meet on the banks of the Ashley River at the end of St. Margaret Street (in front of the gates into Lowndes Grove).
