Restoring Salmon: "The river is sacred. People will put aside their differences when it comes to the River and bringing back the Salmon," noted tribal statesman, Virgil Seymour (1958-2016). "Water is life - it's sacred," noted Deb Abrahamson. Arising from the ashes of cultural genocide, Indigenous efforts working through the Upper Columbia United Tribes are leading the way to restoring salmon, including to the Spokane River.
