Saturday, June 24: Birds of High Summer Along Animas River in Farmington. 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., three-miles round trip. On this third outing to explore birds along a major riparian habitat, we will discover the breeding residents of the area, and compare their abundance to the migrants viewed over the past two months. No dogs please. Use sunscreen, bring a binocular, water, snacks, and dress for the weather. Limit 10 people over 18. RSVP to Mike by June 17 then go to website below to sign up for the trip and sign the liability waiver. Directions: from US-64 south of Farmington, turn north onto Browning Pkwy, NM-516 and go to third traffic light, turn left there, proceed straight at the fork, then turn right at the fork, follow signs to Riverside Nature Center. Or from Farmington, at East Main and Browning Pkwy, head south to the first traffic light, turn right, then proceed as above.
