6 PM socialize and introductions with drinks (on you), appetizers (on us) film at 7pm w/discussion after
The Moon Tower at Dunedin Brewer, Florida's oldest micro brewery,  937 Douglas Ave, Dunedin, FL 34698

We are delighted to invite you to a screening of the impactful "Bittersweet Muck" documentary on Tuesday, November 19, at 6 PM in the Moon Tower at Dunedin Brewery, 937 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin, FL. This documentary delves into the controversy surrounding sugarcane field burning in South Florida, shedding light on the racial discrimination and corporate oppression linked to this outdated practice.

"Bittersweet Muck" highlights the advocacy for green harvesting as an eco-friendly solution, challenging misinformation from the sugar industry. Discrepancies in exposure to harmful effects are noted between wealthier and marginalized communities in Palm Beach County. A post-screening discussion with a representative from the Stop The Burn-Go Green Campaign, which is featured in the documentary, will address sugar field burning, political influence, and environmental justice initiatives.

Cost: Drinks are on you. Appetizers provided. Admittance/Film FREE, donations appreciated.

Signup Instructions: Please RSVP on this page. It will help us organize the event!
