We'll be collecting native prairie seeds at Yahara Heights prairies that will be used to plant additional prairie areas. This is an easy and fun activity where you can also learn about prairies and prairie plants. It is out in the open, and you will be wandering through the prairie, so wear long pants and sturdy shoes and dress for conditions. Sun screen, bug spray and a wide brimmed hat may all be helpful to bring. Bring water or whatever fluids you wish to drink. Drive to the end of Caton Ln and we'll park alongside the prairie.

Children are welcome if they are old enough to handle a pair of clippers and help with seed collecting.

If you only want to come for part of the time, especially if you want to arrive late, please inform the leader so he can know to expect you or that you will be leaving early.
