Until we know how many people are dying due to climate disasters and who they are, government officials and policymakers can and will ignore the existential danger of climate change. Disaster-related deaths (including heat-related deaths) fall under the jurisdiction of coroners and medical examiners. Learn how and why such deaths are grossly undercounted and what can be done about it.
