I've been waiting for a cooler, clear day to post this hike. Yeah!
Starting from this free parking lot, we can go up and over West Peak to explore the North side of tam. Expect some lovely forest trails, and sweeping views.
~ 8 miles with about 1400' of elevation.
Optional Foam roller stretch after under a beautiful huge oak tree. If you would like to join us for this, please let me know and also let me know if you'd like to borrow a foam roller. You will need a mat or pad for under the oak tree. Foam rolling is a wonderful and efficient way to stretch. Our guided session will provide a full body stretch in less than 30 minutes.
End time approximate. Steady pace. Snack stop towards end of hike.
We may (especially near water) request a few quiet zones so that we can enjoy the sounds of nature.
Small group hike: please only RSVP if you really intend to come as you are reserving a spot on a small group hike; keep rsvp current.
We will stop occasionally to point out some wonders of nature. We will hike as a group. This is very good exercise but it is not our only focus so be prepared for some ooo's and aahh's.
We respect and admire bridges and sometimes stop for a stretch.
We start on time.
