Easy paced, reasonably flat, 5 mile hike, approx 3 hrs. Newcomers Welcome.Enjoy the natural beauty of Bolsa Chica, land of the Acjachemen and Tongva, one of the last remaining wetland ecosystems in Southern California.No matter how many times you visit the Bolsa Chica, there is always something different to see or learn. Many of our leaders knowledgeable in history of the area, birds, plants, geology, local issues and often our participants add additional knowledge. Guest speakers Welcome!Meet 8:30 am.From Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach turn south on Bolsa Chica Street to the end of the street and trailhead (Brightwater Drive).Park on the street.Bring camera, water, sun protection, hat, light hiking boots.Rain does not cancel. Arrive early for parking. If Bolsa Chica St full, park on Los Patos.Ecological reserve-no dogs, no drones.No restrooms.Minors ok with Parents.

Signup Instructions: Vax not required to participate. You may be hiking with vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Mask optional. Please let your leaders know privately at the meeting point of any medical conditions you have that they should be aware of. If you are feeling unwell, please do not participate.
