The Sierra Club Marin Group Compact Growth Subcomittee meets the third Thursday of each month at 5:00pm.
January 19 we will discuss the School Street Plaza project in Fairfax.
February 20 we will discuss the UVA proposal for a Wellness Ranch at St Vincents School
The Compact Growth Subcommittee provides in-depth investigation and review of issues and projects that support the anti-sprawl, compact growth goals of the Sierra Club. This includes the following issues:
- Planning and development policy, including housing policy
- Individual planning projects that can support or conflict with compact growth
- Transportation
It does not address land conservation or recreational issues. Our guidance for these issues will be based on the Sierra Club Urban Infill Policy and Urban Infill Policy Guidance.
