Sunday morning hike about 7 miles with some good elevation, about 1200'. Our hike starts up (we ARE starting literally at sea level) and is fairly unrelenting but Steep Ravine Trail is SO beautiful it's worth it. There is a ladder on this trail. We will take Dipsea back down and will enjoy spectacular views and redwood forests.
Brisk & steady pace.
We may (especially near water or when birds are singing) request a few quiet zones so that we can enjoy the sounds of nature.
This is a small group hike, please only RSVP if you really want to come and keep RSVP current.
We will stop occasionally to point out some wonders of nature. We will hike as a group. This is very good exercise but it is not our only focus so be prepared for some ooo's and aahh's.
We respect and admire bridges and sometimes stop for a stretch.
This is a morning hike, no lunch stop but we will pause at Pantoll for a bathroom break. Some people like to go into Stinson Beach after the hike to enjoy the beach or lunch.
We start on time.
If you are in the lead you will end up waiting at trail junctions (and bridges).
If you are in the back, you will be asked to do your best to keep up with the group.
Parking is a dirt lot on Panoramic just East of Highway One.
