O: White Cane Nature Social at Live Oak Park

Outdoor social time for and with blind/visually impaired people, volunteer sighted guides, and anyone who likes fresh air and conversation in Live Oak Park, 10165 Daines Dr., Temple City, 91780. Meet near the basketball court at 10:00AM for sign-in and introductions, then gather around picnic tables to enjoy one another's company, maybe play Uno, LCR, or Dominoes, and optionally stroll about the garden on smooth, wide paths (wheelchair accessible). Conducted in partnership with the Hearts For Sight Foundation (heartsforsightfoundation.org). Lunch is provided by HFS. Volunteer guides are always welcome and hugely appreciated. No pets, please. No unaccompanied minors. To reserve contact Racquel: hearts4sight@gmail.com or call 818-457-1482. Include your cell number. An optional mental health program will precede the social hour. Contact Hearts for Sight for more information on that program. Leaders: Will McWhinney and Joan Schipper.
