This is a two-night trip snowshoe trip camping at Dewey Point on the South rim of Yosemite Valley. On our layover day we will snowshoe to both Crocker and Stanford Points as day hikes. Starting elevation is approximately 7200’ and Dewey Point elevation is 7400’. We start at Badger Pass and hike about 3.5 miles to Dewey Point via the Meadow Trail with total elevation of 600’.

Distance: 3.5 miles in and 3.5 miles out via the Meadow Trail.
Day hiking to Crocker and Stanford Points.

Notes: Acceptance will be confirmed beginning Feb 1, 2025. Signup on Campfire. Trip fee must be paid via Paypal after being accepted.  We may reserve a Campsite in the Valley for the night of the 4th depending on interest.

Signup Restrictions: Open to Alumni of the Sierra Club Snowcamping Training series.

Carpool: Carpools will not be arranged. Individuals will need to determine their own transportation to the trailhead.

Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.

Cancellation Policy: Event may be cancelled in the event of severe winter storms. Participants who have been accepted on the trip and paid, will receive a full refund if the leader cancels the trip for any reason. If a participant is accepted and pays, but subsequently cancels from the trip, they will not receive a refund.
