Join us for our fourth hike in the Wilderness Adventures Section 2025 Saturdays in the Santa Monica Mountains, a moderate 9 mile, 1900 gain loop hike in the Boney Mountain Wilderness on the Upper Sycamore Canyon, Fossil, and Old Boney trails with a side trip with brunch at the Danielson Monument.Meet at 8:00 AM at the Via Goleta parking for Rancho Sierra Vista (101 to Lynn Road in Thousand Oaks, exit south, 5 miles to Via Goleta park entrance, left and continue for less than a mile to Satwiwa parking lot near the restroom). Park free in lot.This is a Back Country hike, and a medical form is required. Please print it out and carry it with you. Copies of the form will be available to fill out at the trailhead as well. Bring: Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a good attitude.

Additional Directions: In going on a Sierra Club outing you are potentially on a trip with individuals vaccinated and unvaccinated. It is your choice to attend the outing knowing this information. The leader can not and should not reveal the status of participants vaccination or reject a participant based on their vaccination status. You are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you comfortable. If someone is experiencing any possible COVID symptoms or is sick, they should not attend the outing. The participant is responsible for contacting the leader to report a positive COVID test. Leaders will provide participants with their contact information. Leader will report as an Incident Report to the Sierra Club.

Cancellation Policy: Check online Sierra Club Schedule of activities and your emails before leaving the morning of. Rain, excessive heat, or red flag alert cancels.
