Join us for a scenic hike at one of Oakland County’s beautiful parks—Independence Oaks, located near Clarkston. We’ll meet at the park’s Nature Center before setting off on a 4- to 5-mile hike through gently rolling terrain. The trails are slightly hilly but manageable, and we’ll be moving at a moderate pace—perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of this natural area.
This hike is a great opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy nature, and connect with others in a peaceful setting. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Binoculars and a camera are also welcome if you want to capture the beauty of the season!
Meeting Time and Location:
We’ll meet at 8:45am at the parking lot of the Lewis E Wint Nature Center, 9501 Sashabaw Rd, Clarkston, MI 48348. The hike will start promptly at 9:00am, so please don't be late.
Hike Leader:
For questions, call or text hike leader Ken Jacobsen at (248) 302-8275.
