Family Hike-Clear Creek Trail

This easy-to-moderate path winds through lush woodlands and along a creek, offering plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife, enjoy natures beauty, and snap some great family photos. Perfect for kids and adults alike, this outing promises fresh air, gentle exercise, and fun for all ages. Note: the path is well maintained but some sections are gravel or dirt making making access with some wheels challenging.

A Family Adventure on the Clear Creek Trail

Who: Families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a fun and meaningful outdoor experience. All ages are welcome!

What: Join us for a family-friendly hike along the Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale, WA. This easy-to-moderate trail winds through lush woodlands and along Clear Creek, offering a variety of path textures—from paved and gravel sections to rocky and muddy stretches—making every step a new discovery. Along the way, we’ll learn about the importance of preserving the Clear Creek ecosystem and how we can support local conservation efforts.

Where: Meet at the Silverdale Rotary Gateway Park sign (11601 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale, WA 98383). Free parking is available, and a Kitsap Transit bus stop across from the park offers easy public transportation access.

When: First Saturday of the month (Feb-May), at 10-11:30 AM. 

Why: This outing is not just a chance to enjoy the great outdoors but also an opportunity to connect with nature and learn how we can protect Clear Creek. The trail is a critical habitat for local wildlife and plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the community's watershed. By exploring the trail together, we’ll deepen our appreciation for this special place and discover simple ways we can all contribute to its health.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (waterproof recommended for muddy areas).
  • Water and snacks.
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers and rain gear).
  • A sense of adventure!

Cost: 0

Bring: Dress to be comfortable for the weather. Bring the right equipment and shoes to stay dry. We won't cancel for rain!
