Our annual FEN wildflower ramble never disappoints!  With over 450 species of wildflowers (many threatened), plus seeps that run cold, year-round, plus spectacular kames- its a fun, educational hike, led by naturalist Ed Max.. This is an easy hike, with a few hills, and a loop trail.
We try to start early, as the prairie can get warm by mid-day. Hat is a good idea!



Butterfly weed (monarch host plant) plus many other plant species will be seen.
 

Level: Easy

Cost: 5.00 per

Bring: Water, big hat, sunglasses, sunblock, bloots, no open toed shoes, no shorts (can be very scratchy), lunch for after (optional)

Additional Directions: ENTER through the pearly gates of Bluff City Cemetery (Elgin), and proceed to the south through this lovely cemetery to the small parking lot. An email with full details and directions will be sent out before the outing.
