O: Towsley Canyon: Join us on a spring hike in the Towsley Canyon (7.5 mile 1400 feet gain) where we should get great vistas, tar seeps, and hopefully many gorgeous flowers including poppies, phacilia, lupin, California peony, and chocolate lily. Although this is a front country outing, we encourage participants to carry a completed paper outing Medical Form (https://tinyurl.com/ycy985mt).

Level: Moderate

Bring: Bring sturdy footwear, water, snacks, lunch, layers, sun protection and a filled out medical form.

Signup Restrictions: If you are feeling sick, or have been exposed to someone who has recently been sick from or tested positive for COVID-19, please do not join this trip.

Additional Directions: Meet 8:00 am at the La Canada ride share point on the Angeles Crest Highway (Highway 2) in La Canada Flintridge, about 2 blocks north of the 210 freeway. We meet on the grassy strip along the east side of the highway just north of Chehalem Road cross street. Parking is available on both sides of the grassy strip. Or, meet at the trailhead at 8:30 am by taking I-5 freeway, exit Calgrove Blvd, turn west under the freeway and take the Old Road south to Ed Davis Park on the right. Park in the large dirt parking lot beyond the gate.

Carpool: Participants are advised that the Sierra Club will not assume responsibility for carpools.

Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels
