O: Mt. Pinos Potluck Dinner Hike

Easy 4 mi out and back, 500' gain hike to Mt Pinos (8847), the highest peak in Ventura County. This is a Protect Our Federal Public Lands Hike. Learn what you can do to save our national treasures. Potluck dinner at summit and back to trailhead by dark. Meet 3 PM in North Valencia by Embassy Suites. Take I-5 N, exit 126/ Newhall Ranch Rd, take right at exit to 1st light (Vanderbilt Way), R to Westinghouse, turn R and park on street. 90 min carpool to trailhead. Or meet us at 4PM at Mt Pinos parking lot. Bring water, plate, eating and serving utensils, and main dish, side dish or desert to share. Bring hiking shoes, jacket, flashlight, and Forest Service Adventure pass. Ninety minute carpool to trailhead.
