Community Cleanup Jessup Park-n-Ride

Our Community Cleanups in partnership with the Valley Community Library, Lackawanna County Environmental Office, and Keep NEPA Beautiful are back! Join us on Wednesday, April 16 at 5:30 P.M. as we cleanup along Route 247 in Jessup. We will be meeting and starting at the Jessup Park-N-Ride. Last year we found over 90 40oz Smirnoff glass bottles at this location alone! We know this because we counted everything, we find with the Best Practice's Award-Winning Litter Study where we take an in-depth look at what litter we are finding at each location. Due to the high traffic along this section of road and multiple road crossings we will be doing this event is strictly 18 and over. The road is on a long mountain grade and will have us using those calf muscles as we walk up and down the road and in the woods picking up litter. If you have a Community Cleanup Shirt from a previous cleanup, please wear that. You are welcome to bring your own gloves and trash grabbers. Trash bags, gloves, vest, and road signs are provided by Keep NEPA Beautiful.
