Lessons Learned from the 2025 Wildfires

What have we learned from the recent LA Wildfires? For an early preview, join us for a program with wildfire expert Jon Keeley. Are the 2025 LA Fires the new normal? How does climate change interact with human activity to increase wildfire threat? We must figure out how to better adapt to, coexist with, and limit the scope of wildfires as we integrate scientific findings into land use planning. Our speaker has some recommendations. Jon Keeley is with the US Geological Survey, and he is an Adjunct Professor at UCLA. He has studied wildfire behavior for decades. The program is sponsored by the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter Forest Committee.
