O-2: Pacific Crest Trail – Crater Lake National Park Backpack Trip #2

Saturday, Sept. 6 Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025: Pacific Crest Trail Crater Lake National Park Backpack Trip #2. Beautiful Oregon Backpack Trip. We will view Crater Lake during the van shuttle before the the start of the backpack trip. Crater Lake will not be viewed during the backpack trip. We will spend the first 3 days backpacking through Crater Lake National Park, then hiking through beautiful Mount Thielsen Wilderness and Diamond Peak Wilderness, and ending at Willamette Pass. Trip covers PCT miles 1822 to 1909.5. Strenuous, but moderately paced, 88 miles, 7 days. Average 13 miles per day. Average 1,400' elevation gain and 1,600 elevation loss per day. Group will share expense of shuttle van. Sign up early. Trip does not qualify as a WTC Experience Trip. Backcountry outing; medical form required.
