O: Aliso Woods - Canyon View Park - up Mathis

O: Aliso Woods - Canyon View Park Almost 5 miles. 960 foot gain. Meet at 9:00 at Canyon View Park on Canyon Vista. Near the corner of 22144 Canyon Vista and Silkwood in Aliso Viejo 92656. There is street parking on Canyon Vista and at the bottom of the hill. There is a porta potty at the trail head. The hike is down Wood Canyon, then Wood Creek and Coyote Run then up Mathis and along West Ridge for a 5 mile loop. Along the way we usually see deer in the valley. Bring 2 liters of water, hiking shoes and hiking poles. Some single track trail and a wide road, some shade and some no shade. Rain within 24 hours cancels.
