We will meet in the parking lot adjacent to the Pond house.

Description:
The Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge is a corridor of land and water stretching nearly 70 miles along the Minnesota River, from Bloomington to Henderson, Minnesota. A wildlife gem surrounded by urban and industrial development, it hosts over 200 bird species. We will hike along the bluff trail from the Pond house to the Old Cedar Bridge. We will make a stop at the bridge to observe the wildlife and then return to the parking area. Total distance is about 5.5 miles.

Hike rating: Moderate - mostly flat, unpaved, with rough and uneven ground. The trail may be muddy and slippery.

Gear or food/water needs:
Sneakers or boots with good traction are recommended. Bring a water bottle and binoculars if available. There are Porta Potties at either end of the trail.
