Know Before You Go
  • Arrival Time: Please arrive by 8:30 AM to allow time for check-in and a brief training session on identifying and safely removing invasive plants.
  • Stay Hydrated: Bring a reusable water bottle to help us keep this a low-waste event.
  • Dress for the Weather: Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor work. Be ready for uneven terrain and a bit of dirt!
  • Be Weather Wise: This is an outdoor event, so dress appropriately for the forecast. Don’t forget your hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
  • Rain or Shine: The event will proceed unless there is heavy rain, thunder, or lightning. In that case, we’ll notify you of a rescheduled date. Ponchos or rain gear are welcome!
  • Volunteer Waivers: Waivers will be available on-site. Please be prepared to sign one upon arrival.
  • Student Volunteers: Need service hours? Bring your service form or email it to us—we’re happy to sign off on your time!

Level: Easy

Bring: Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots. Long sleeves and long pants will protect from irritating plants and insects. Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent are advised. Bring a full reusable water bottle. Gloves and tools will be supplied.
