I: Moose Lake & Alta Peak Backpack
Backpack from Wolverton Trailhead (7283') in Sequoia National Park to camp at Alta Meadow (9356', 6.2miles, 2100' gain) with breathtaking scenery and wildlife. Saturday morning we hike off trail to Moose Lake (10,550', 5.2 miles rt , 1550' gain) while enjoying views of The Great Western Divide before free time at a pristine alpine lake. We'll return to our camp at Alta Meadow in the late afternoon for some lively conversation, relaxation, and happy hour. Sunday morning there will be an optional x-c adventure to Alta Peak (11,204', 2.72 miles rt, 1,900' gain) where we'll take in amazing panoramic views before returning to our cars.

Cost: Park Entry Fee plus share of Wilderness Permit
Signup Instructions: Priority signup given to 2025 WTC students needing experience trips. Camping will be available 7/10 at Lodgepole Campground. Send hiking resume and contact info to Event Organizers.
Signup Restrictions: This is a backcountry outing and will require the completion of a short medical form indicating allergies, general medical information, and medications. If you are feeling unwell, please don't participate.
Cancellation Policy: Activity is held rain or shine, but may be altered due to inclement weather
