O: Mount Williamson 8244 & Mount Williamson Ridge 7 miles R/T 1800 Elevation Gain. Please join us on this beautiful hike to Mt. Williamson summit & ridge. Mt. Williamson towers directly above the San Andres rift zone the most monumental earthquake zone in the United States. We will have great views of the desert 5000' below. Starting from the west we will pass through an open forest of Jeffrey, Ponderosa, and White fir pines. Signup Instructions: Meet 8:00 am at La Canada rideshare point. Take 210 freeway, exit Angeles Crest Highway (2), go north and park on the east side of Angeles Crest Hwy near Wiladonda Dr.
Bring: Bring sturdy footwear, hydration, snacks, lunch, layers, sun protection, and a filled out medical form to show the leader.
Signup Restrictions: If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone who has recently (within the past 10 days) been sick from or tested positive for COVID-19, please do not join this trip.
Additional Directions: Alternatively meet 9:00 am. Drive up Angeles Crest Hwy about 39 miles from La Canada, 2.4 miles from Kratka Ridge ski area and a quarter mile west of the tunnels.
