Baylands/Byxbee Park Loop (front country)

Starting at the Mountain View Palo Alto Baylands trailhead at Terminal Blvd and San Antonio, we'll hike a loop starting on the bike path bordering West Bayshore, then through Byxbee park, and returning on the Baylands Charleston Slough trail to our starting point at Shoreline Park. It is a mostly flat hike and somewhat exposed. We will see lots of birds and great views of the San Francisco Bay. Meet at 10 a.m. at Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve Trailhead . Parking is available at Terminal Boulevard near San Antonio Road in Mountain View. Bring water, sun protection, trail snacks, lunch, and if the weather happens to be inclement, a warm layer or rain gear. Optional but nice are a camera, binoculars, or a hiking pole!
