Hike to Plum Point Park on the Elizabeth River Trail

Join us on a hike from Chelsea to Plum Point Park along the Elizabeth River Trail. From there, we will be looking across the river to the Portsmouth Marine Terminal while our Offshore Energy Program Director, Eileen Woll, will discuss the offshore wind project that Dominion is currently staging equipment for at the terminal.

Plum Point Park

Level: Easy

Cost: Free

Bring: Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a 1.5 mile hike. Be sure to pack water, a snack, sun protection, and any other personal items you may need. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. However, the park is a perfect place for a picnic if you'd like to pack a lunch.

Signup Restrictions: All participants must sign a Sierra Club waiver to participate. Pets are ALLOWED on this outing. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Additional Directions: Use the street parking on or around Orapax street OR use the MHI lot (entrance from Orapax St) for parking. note: ensure signage permits parking at time of event. Meet at 750 Orapax Street at the entrance of the parking lot.
