🌱 Join Us for Mulch Madness! Help Us Grow Something Great 🌼
It’s that time of year again—Mulch Madness is back, and we need your help to kick off the growing season in a big way!
We’re calling all garden lovers, community champions, and nature enthusiasts—including our local partner organizations and community groups—to roll up your sleeves and join the Sierra Club Michigan Garden Club for our annual mulch spreading events:
🗓 Friday, May 16th from 3:00–5:00 PM
🗓 Sunday, May 18th from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
Sierra Club Michigan, Lansing Office
602 W. Ionia St, Lansing, MI 48933
Together, we’ll be spreading 5 yards of mulch to prepare and plot our Resistance Vegetable Garden, a space dedicated to resilience, sustainability, and food justice. We’ll also continue our mission of transforming the landscape by replacing invasive or exotic plant species with beautiful Michigan native wildflowers and plants and cultivating our pollinator garden.
Whether you're a longtime collaborator or joining us for the first time, this is a great opportunity to connect, contribute, and cultivate a greener, healthier community.
🌿 Tools and guidance provided

Let’s mulch, plant, and build a resilient future—together.

There are a number of special events throughout the year that you can participate in according to your interest and available time. All of these events are terrific opportunities to have fun, meet talented fellow gardeners, increase your knowledge of gardening, and provide valued community service.
