Flatwoods Park


Enjoy nature while hiking in Flatwoods Wilderness.  This is true hike, while enjoying sounds, plants and wildlife. 
 
We can see birds and listen to song birds. Possibly see rabbits, deer, squirrels, butterfly's. 
 
It's rated as strenuous due to expected hot temperatures, and moderate speed.
TERRAIN:
 Mostly flat, dirt trails. Almost all of the trails are under trees canopies, and there are occasional vines, roots and rocks.  There will be occasional short road walk. .
 
There a restroom and water fountain at Flatwoods Office where we park and meet.

Level: Strenuous(Heat, distance)

Cost: Free, but there is a parking fee of $2

Bring: Closed toed shoes, 2 liter of water, freeze at least 1 bottle, snacks, Optional: hiking poles, sunglasses, hat, mosquito repellent, binoculars, camera and any essential items. If during breaks you want to sit, bring something to sit on like a seating pad. Sudden showers require an umbrella or rain gear.
