Ventura County is facing multiple threats to our public lands and natural resources.

We need to get the word out so people understand the impacts to our community.

The Sierra Club Ventura Network is hosting an informational meeting on May 21, 2025 on the outdoor patio at Toppers Pizza, 3940 E Main St, in Ventura.

You'll learn about immediate threats:

• Dismantling the California Condor Recovery Program
• Increasing timber production in Los Padres National Forest
• Harming Santa Monica Mountains' mountain lions
• Doubling natural gas transmission across from a West Ventura elementary school
• Extending an Oxnard fossil fuel power plant slated for shutdown
• Uranium mining in the Lake Casitas watershed
• Weakening of Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
• Slowing implementation of Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary
• Defunding the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Parks Service, the Forest Service and our marine sanctuaries

And opportunities to make a difference:
