W at UW Bothell

The University of Washington at Bothell considers sustainability one of its core beliefs. The campus has received awards for its sustainability initiatives from American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and the Puget Sound Business Journal. It has achieved gold ratings in STARS, a system that assesses and rates university sustainability performance.

This outing provides the opportunity to learn how UW Bothell has achieved this success through their campus-wide operations. We will join our guide on a tour of the campus, as she shares how sustainability is built into all aspects of campus operations, from energy and green buildings to transportation, waste, water, food, and grounds.

The tour will begin at 3:00 pm on Monday, June 9, and will last approximately 90 minutes. We will meet at the "W" statue outside of Discovery Hall.

The South Parking Garage is the closest to this meeting spot. Information about parking and directions:  https://www.uwb.edu/about/directions

Following the tour, the conversation will continue at the Tavern on the Square at the Anderson School, 18607 Bothell Way NE, Bothell, WA 98011
