I: (Strenuous) Join us for a weekend trip featuring a series of peaks in the shadow of San Gorgonio. We will meet Saturday morning at the South Fork Trailhead where we will head to Dry Lake for the night (5.4 miles, 2250' gain). After setting up camp, we will enjoy Happy Hour while imaging how pretty Dry Lake would be if it had water in it. The next morning, we will begin with an off-trail ascent to Lake Peak, passing near Zahniser Peak and climbing 1100' in 1.5 miles. From there we will make our way along the ridge another 1.4 miles to Ten Thousand Foot Ridge, before turning around. Just before Lake Peak, we will turn north, traverse a saddle, and make our way to Grinnell Mountain at the highest point of the day at 10,284'. Finally, we will navigate back towards Dry Lake, pick up our gear, and return to the trailhead (Day 2 total of 11.4 miles and 2300' gain).

Participants will need to complete a short medical form and bring it with them to the trailhead.
Participants will also need to sign a waiver, which will be available at the trailhead. If you would like to review it ahead of time, it can be found here.
