Plein Air Painting Event, Sunday, June 22nd at Day Spring (Germantown Maryland)

Please join us for a short walk and a free outdoor painting event at Day Spring Center in Germantown on Sunday, June 22, 8am-12pm.

Learn from Sierra Club and TAME Coalition about how this 200 plus acre nature stream valley park along with Montgomery County Park lands that we are asking Montgomery County to preserve.
The Montgomery County Planning Commission voted unanimously in April to strike out a future proposed highway, M83, out of the Montgomery County Master Plan. Now the Montgomery County Council will vote to guarantee the preservation of these acres of forests and essential pristine watershed.
Enjoy painting in the shade of Oak, Hickory and Evergreens overlooking green meadows and a home with a living roof, organic vegetable garden and old stone remains.
Refreshments will be served. Sign up limited to 15 people, please carpool if possible, parking is limited and you will be directed to the appropriate spot.

What to expect: Once you have arrived, please check in with Patti Connell. She will be wearing a straw hat. We will paint all morning and then gather around 11:45 for a quick share and see, and group photo.)
What to bring: Please bring your standard paints, substrate, easel, stool, medium, drop cloth, hand wipes, sun hat, bug spray, water.
