Sierra Club Tour of First Star Recycling Thursday June 12, 2 p.m. 10330 “I” Street, Omaha NE 68127 RSVP Required Join the Sierra Club for a tour of Omaha’s recycling partner First Star Recycling. Ever wondered what happens to all those materials you load into your recycling bin? Let’s find out. We’ll meet at the facility at 10330 “I” Street. All tour participants should wear closed toe shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather, as much of the plant is not temperature controlled. Hard hats and any other necessary PPE will be provided by First Star. Participants should be able to walk unassisted, and there will be stairs. The plant can get noisy. The tour should last about an hour. To get there: from I St., go north on F Plaza (just west of 102nd St.), past the recyclables drop off area, to the visitors parking area, which is right across from the main plant entrance. Guests are asked to park only in marked visitor parking areas, so as not to impede delivery trucks.
