Support Our National Parks - Valley Forge Picnic and Activities Register

We will show our support for National Parks, park staff and organizations that support parks at all levels. The local Sierra Club Group will be providing a picnic lunch. We'll learn about the importance of Valley Forge and natural and historic parks in general. And join other activities: bike rides, hikes, service projects and more.
A full day of activities is planned to show our support for Valley Forge National Historic Park and the rangers and other staff that make these historic and natural spaces accessible to everyone.

During the picnic we'll hear form park advocates, including:

• Sierra Club
• Valley Forge Park Alliance
• PennEnvironment
• PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources - Forestry
• Others TBD

Picnic Food Details -

• Bring your own canteen/bottle to refill with water, iced tea or lemonade (we'll also have cups)
• Bring your own plate and utensils if you can (we'll also have paper plates)
• There are a few picnic tables. If you want to bring your own chairs, that's ok
• Enjoy the food Sierra Club is providing (details below), or bring your own (let us know which in the registration)
• Menu:
  • hoagies/sandwiches, salads, chips, cookies
  • we'll have some gluten-free and vegan options. If you have serious food sensitivities, please bring your own
  • this is an alcohol-free event
  •  

Well behaved dogs are welcome at the picnic - must be on-leash.

Supervised children are welcome. There is no watching service.
