Chavez and Beaver Brook Loop Hike

Join us for this moderately strenuous loop hike west of Golden at Genessee Park. The trail winds through through shaded forest and along a creek. Be prepared for some rocky, steep sections as well. Total distance of 5.1 miles with 1,200 feet of elevation gain/loss.

Join us for this moderately strenuous loop hike west of Golden at Genessee Park. The trail  winds through through shaded forest and along a creek. Be prepared for some rocky, steep sections as well. Total distance of 5.1 miles with 1,200 feet of elevation gain/loss.

Level: Moderate

Bring: Bring good hiking boots/shoes, protection for sun and rain, trail food, at least one quart of water. Trekking poles recommended.

Additional Directions: Take I-70 west to the Chief Hosa Exit (Exit 253). Go south on Stapleton Road and park in the parking lot on Stapleton Road.

Carpool: Indicate preference on registration.

Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.
