On the 26th edition of Climate Corps, titled “A Healthy Rio Grande” our guest will be Beth Bardwell, volunteer with Rio Grande Waves, an informal group focused on advancing a living river and a sustainable water future in Southern NM. Beth will discuss a public comment opportunity for proposed projects along the Lower Rio Grande (Elephant Butte Dam to NM-TX state line) funded by $60M from the Bureau of Reclamation to mitigate drought. Rio Grande Waves believes there is much room for improvement in the way the process has played out and believes your input by the end of the month can make all the difference in advocating for a healthy river ecosystem.
