Green Valley Lake, the “Hidden Gem” of the San Bernardino Mountains, is at 7000´ elevation. This “best kept secret on the mountain” is secluded, and surrounded by National Forest.  For all these reasons it has remained small, picturesque, and uncrowded. 

This is a great beginner car camp that’s family friendly, and well behaved dogs on leash are welcome. A detailed packing list will be provided to all registered participants.  If you don’t have the camping gear required, please let us know what you need and we will source equipment for you to borrow.  If you’re a seasoned Car Camper that’s fine too, all are welcome.

Green Valley Lake Campground has flush toilets and water, and each site has a picnic table and fire ring with grill (Pending any Fire Restrictions). The San Bernardino Mountains Group has booked 3 sites, to accommodate 24 people and 6 cars.  Additional parking is available on the public road just outside the Campground.

This Car Camp will feature hiking for all levels, including a Full Moon hike! Group Potluck Dinners, and an opportunity to learn more about the History of Green Valley Lake through the interpretive exhibits at the Museum.   A detailed Itinerary will be provided to all registered participants 

On Sunday, after the Car Camp is over and you are all checked out, feel free to continue exploring Green Valley Lake:  Eat lunch at Yeti’s Diner; Swim, fish, or boat on the Lake; or listen to live music at the Black Dog Social Club.
