Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, September 21: Drive 5 miles to the hut over an unpaved road that should be passable for cars with good clearance.  The hut sits east of, and about 1000 ft below, the Sierra Crest on the edge of an alpine meadow. Clean the hut, make minor repairs, collect and store firewood for next winter, and take measurements for future repairs. Optional dinner and lodging Friday night and breakfast Saturday morning at the Club's Clair Tappaan Lodge are provided at no cost to volunteers.  Tools, supplies, and food at the hut are provided at no cost to volunteers.  Volunteers receive priority in reservations for hut use during winter 2025-26.  Contact the leader for advance signup.

Level: Moderate

Cost: Travel costs to trailhead must be covered by each participant; costs during the weekend are covered by the Club.
