Meeting location: Meet at Wirth Lake Beach parking lot, 3200 Glenwood Ave.

Fees: Parking is free 

Description:
Explore the glacial geology and the late fall colors of the oak-woodland in Minneapolis’s largest forested park. After climbing some hills, we will visit the “quaking” bog and identify some bog adapted plants. Total distance is about 2 miles.

Hike rating: Moderate – this short hike includes steep up and down sections on unpaved, rough and uneven ground. (could be roots and rocks)

Any specific gear or food/water needs: Dress for potentially cold and changeable weather.
