This 19.8-mile trip is a leisurely bicycle ride viewing nature and learning about historical spots along the canal towpath. We will be keeping a simple and easy pace. There will be many spots with history and pretty views of the Potomac River. For those interested after the bike ride, we can take an educational boat ride at the Cushwa Basin conducted by the C&O Canal NHP. Boat rides are free. There is no charge for this hike, but donations are welcome.

Level: Easy

Cost: no cost - donations accepted

Signup Instructions: register here and e-sign the required liability waiver form.

Bring: Helmet (MANDATORY), bike, spare tube, water and snack. Dress in layers and shoes appropriate for weather conditions.

Additional Directions: 10 am at Taylors Boat along the C+O canal

Cancellation Policy: We will carry on in light rain but cancel in heavy precipitation
