Join us for our September Second Sunday Sierra. We will be meeting at the Holiday Inn Walden Road Parking lot and carpool to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Bring a sack lunch. Please fill out a registration for each person attending.
The Holiday Inn Walden Road is located at 3950 I-10 South &, Walden Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705. We will meet to carpool to the museum at 8 AM SHARP!!!

The Houston Museum of Natural Science was founded in 1909 on the idea that science can enhance everyone’s lives.
A lot can happen in 100 years, and throughout our first century, the Museum has always been growing—first from modest displays downtown to more spacious accommodations in the Houston Zoo, and then, with the opening of the Burke Baker Planetarium in 1964, to the Museum’s current location in Hermann Park. Over the years, HMNS has continued to acquire major collections, expand its permanent exhibitions, and add new venues. Today, the Houston Museum of Natural Science is an expansive, multi-story science center where millions of families, students and visitors from around the globe gather to experience the natural world through exceptional permanent galleries as well as unparalleled world premiere exhibitions that bring the earth’s wonders to Houston.

Carpool: Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged. It will reduce your trip expenses, offer companionship, reduce traffic and is good for the environment. Note that Sierra Club leaders will not assign participants to a carpool. Assignment exposes the Club and its leaders to an unacceptable liability risk. The Sierra Club will, on your request, provide information about rides offered and riders wanted, but does not guarantee riders or rides. It is smart to agree before committing to a carpool how travel expenses to and from home will be shared.
Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.
